Location of the Philippines: The Philippines are located in Southeastern Asia just east of Vietnam. The Philippines is an archipelago that has a little over 7,000 islands. It is roughly 300,000 square kilometers which is slightly larger than the state of Arizona.
Capital City: The Philippines capital city is Manila which is located on the island of Luzon. In Manila there are several educational institutions, sporting facilities, and cultural and historical buildings. A famous college is called the University of Santo Tomas. The Rizal Memorial Sports complex is a well know venue that sporting events are held in. Also, in Manila there is a museum called the National Museum of the Philippines. In this museum you can learn everything you need to know about the Philippines. A famous shopping mall in Manila is called the Robinsons Place Manila.

Climate of the Philippines: The Philippines has a tropical marine climate which consists of warm humid weather with lots of rainfall. Areas with this climate are generally found within five to twenty degrees of the equator. The average year round temperature is 79.9 degrees fahrenheit. The two main seasons in the Philippines are the wet season (June- October) and the dry season (November- May). If you were to live in the Philippines you have to deal with oppressive humidity and lots of rainfall.
